The famous Rue Cler market street, known for its gourmet food shops, restaurants and colorful flowers and people, is a perfect place to buy your croissants or pain au chocolat, or to enjoy your morning café-au-lait while people watching at its famous cafes.  This is the favorite Paris neighborhood of Rick Steves, the author of Europe Through the Back Door and dozens more travel books.  Here you will find an unbelievable assortment of cheeses, wines, and every food imaginable if you choose to use our fully equipped modern kitchen in the apartment.  There are also many famous restaurants on or near Avenue Bousquet and Rue Cler.

Visit the Eiffel Tower and the park Champ de Mars

The Champ de Mars park was built in the 18th century soon after the construction of nearby l’Ecole Militaire (military school). This is also the site of the 1867, 1878, 1889, 1900 and 1937 Universal Expositions. At the end of this park is where you will find the "temporary" Eiffel tower erected for the 1889 Expo, Paris’ most recognizable landmark.  Both the Tower and Park are located only a short walk from our apartment.
